The DURVINIL® RFS drainage pipe is manufactured from high-quality, rigid PVC with excellent strength and durability, and is available in diameters ranging from ½’’ to 10’’.
Applications of DURVINIL® RFS Slotted Drainage Pipes
- When installed in a sub-horizontal position, DURVINIL® RFS drainage pipes act as micro-slotted drains designed to collect and discharge groundwater from natural slopes, landslide bodies, retaining structures (such as Berliner walls and nailed walls), as well as reinforced concrete works like retaining walls, diaphragms, tunnels, and embankments.
- When installed in vertical boreholes, they serve as pumping wells for groundwater extraction (diameters > 4’’) or as piezometer tubes for monitoring groundwater level and pressure (diameters < 4’’).
Properties of DURVINIL® RFS Slotted Drainage Pipe
The DURVINIL® RFS drainage pipe is engineered to withstand the loads and pressures of the surrounding soil. It offers a long service life and resists deterioration from groundwater, seawater, and diluted acidic or alkaline solutions.
The DURVINIL® RFS pipe’s external surface is longitudinally corrugated to prevent the accumulation of sand and loose material that could block the slots.
This grooved finish also increases the contact area between the pipe and the surrounding soil, significantly enhancing the drainage capacity compared to a smooth pipe of the same diameter.
The internal surface, on the other hand, is perfectly smooth with a low roughness coefficient, ensuring rapid discharge of collected water.
